Certificate of Origin
A Certificate of Origin (C.O.O.) is a document required by foreign governments attesting that the goods in a particular export shipment have been wholly produced, manufactured, or processed in a particular country. The Certificate of Origin must be signed by the exporter, notarized, and then validated by a locally designated agency such as the Lauderhill Regional Chamber of Commerce (LRCC) in order to be acceptable and valid.
The Lauderhill Chamber of Commerce can issue Certificates of Origin for goods made in the United States and for goods NOT made in the United States.
Customers are required to fill out an affidavit to have a Certificate of Origin sealed. This is a general affidavit that releases the Chamber from any liability with regards to issuing the Certificate of Origin. You may obtain the affidavit by requesting the form from our office. The notarization can be completed at the Chamber – The fee is $20 per notary.
Bring the affidavit together with the documents regarding the goods (e.g. invoice) to the Chamber Office. Documents must indicate that the products are made in the designated country.
The Fee is $10.00 for Chamber Members, Per Certificate of Origin for each shipment stamped and sealed, and $20.00 for Future Member. You may pay by cash, credit card or check. Make all checks payable to: Lauderhill Regional Chamber of Commerce.
